in school programs
Dance Generators collaborates with school partners to offer in-school and after-school dance classes and assembly-style performances that encourage intergenerational friendships and help reduce age-based biases among young people. We’re grateful to the following schools for their collaboration and support: The Country School (Los Angeles), Friends School SF, Commodore Sloat Elementary, and Balboa High School (San Francisco).
university style lecture demonstrations
Dance Generators presents lectures and panels in university, corporate, healthcare, and non-profit settings, offering insights on themes such as healthy aging, social isolation and loneliness, dance history, the art of collaboration across difference, co-leadership, embodiment, arts integration, and the use of the arts as a tool to improve health outcomes and address social determinants of health.
open class series
Creating a consistent community of practice composed of Dance Generators Artists and friends, Dance Generators offers regular drop-in class series that explore dance as a meaningful pathway to intergenerational connection. Facilitated by Liv alongside other guest artists, participants deepen and evolve their relationships with themselves, with movement, and with one another through thoughtfully designed activities that alternate between dancing and guided group discussion. Discover details about our current series on the EVENTS page.
